Group Sessions and Themes
We reached out to Michele Rodriguez, the Program Director of University Settlement's Older Adults program and explained our project idea and goals in early April and she introduced us to members of the Latino Club at the center. Most to all of the attendees at the center are from immigrant populations and are either Chinese, Puerto Rican, or the Dominican Republic.
We visited University Settlement's Older Adults Center once a week from April 2017 to June 2017 and worked specifically with members of the Latino Club. We prepared art related activities for each session, however, our plans varied from week to week depending on the progress of our conversations as well as the group's interests.
